CEA Win Makes Three in a Row for Atlanta Integrator

Atlanta, Georgia – May 7, 2007The Consumer Electronics Association recently held its Annual Tech Home Awards Banquet to honor the most innovative projects in residential integration, and Link Your House was named winner of the 2007 Mark of Excellence Award for its work at Carter Grove Plantation.
Carter Grove is a 3500 home master planned community located in Cartersville, Ga. At Carter Grove, Link Your House is using advanced technology and manufacturer sponsorship to make digital living a viable and affordable option for new homeowners.  Through a partnership with production builder Grace Ventures, Inc., Link Your House wires every home with an infrastructure to support a digital lifestyle. Homeowners then have the option to add technology upgrades when they purchase the home from the builder. All upgrades are available for demonstration in two on-site, interactive showrooms. Each showroom also features a 12-minute video that plays continuously on high definition plasma displays. The video educates prospects about the benefits of digital living and offers an opportunity to “meet the builder.” The production was sponsored by the Intel Corporation.“We are fortunate to be working with a forward-thinking builder,” explained Frank DeFilippis, Link Your House Business Manager for Carter Grove. “Everyone wants the excitement and convenience of a digital lifestyle. Putting the right infrastructure into new homes makes this goal attainable and allows our builder to differentiate himself in a competitive market. Making home technology easy to understand through demonstration and educational video is extremely helpful for consumers considering it for purchase.”The 2007 Mark of Excellence Award represents the third award Link Your House has received for its work at Carter Grove. The company was also recognized by Tech Home Builder Magazine with the 2007 Innovative Housing Technology Award (www.techomebuilder.com/ihta/), and Embedded Automation, Inc. for the 2006 Digital Home of the Year (http://www.embeddedautomation.com/EACONewsPR070124-01.htm).

The mControl “Digital Home” Contest was open to all Embedded Automation’s mControl digital home software users. Users were encouraged to present original or innovative ways that mControl is being deployed within their digital home. Link Your House’s pioneering work to provide a standardized digital home package for new home construction was a stand out from other entries.

Link Your House is a Georgia, US-based home automation company which offers installation and design of high quality home systems in both new construction and existing homes. “We are honored to win the first inaugural mControl “Digital Home” Contest,” said Frank DeFilippis, system designer from Link Your House. “mControl plays a critical part in the Digital Home upgrade at Carter Grove. With sales now underway at Carter Grove, early reports from the agents are extremely positive.”

“Link Your House’s work at the Carter Grove project is proving that digital home technology is reaching mainstream. We feel that their leadership in building a standardized system with break through performance and affordability will become a model for future projects,” said Ted Singh, Business Development Manager of Embedded Automation.
